Finkelstein Thompson LLP has filed a putative class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado against the Aurora Dairy Corporation ("Aurora" or the "Company".)  The complaint, filed on December 17, 2007, alleges that the Company misrepresented and sold, at premium prices, milk and milk products that were not truly organic.  Investigations conducted by the USDA revealed that the "organic" products were not produced and handled in accordance with the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990.

Aurora sells its milk and milk products under its own label, "High Meadows," and through other private labels, including "Woodstock Farms," "Naturally Preferred," "O-Organics," "Nature's Promise," and "Archers Farms." Consumers can purchase these products at Albertson's, Costco, Giant, Publix, Safeway (except California), Target, Tops, United Natural Food International, Wal-Mart and Wild Oats.
