On April 9, 2008, The Honorable Cynthia M. Rute, federal judge presiding over the Avandia Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, appointed Tracy D. Rezvani of Finkelstein Thompson LLP to the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee.  As a member of the Committee, Ms. Rezvani will work closely with other attorneys to manage and conduct pre-trial proceedings on behalf of all plaintiffs.

This action alleges that GlaxoSmithKline concealed and misrepresented the significant heart attack or heart-related disease risks associated with the use of its widely proscribed oral diabetes drug, Avandia.
