Wii Investigation PDF Print E-mail

Finkelstein Thompson LLP is investigating claims by Nintendo Wii users that recent Wii software updates may be causing malfunctions to the Wii and that Nintendo is charging users to repair these problems.

Our current investigation reveals that Nintendo released the software update allegedly to increase system performance.  However, consumers have complained that the software update has “bricked,” or rendered useless, many Wii systems.  Despite initially stating that Nintendo would fix broken consoles free of charge, Nintendo is now charging Wii users for repairs.
