Laser Printer Toner Investigation PDF Print E-mail
September 10, 2008

Finkelstein Thompson LLP is investigating claims that printer manufacturers have designed their laser printers to show a “low-toner” alert and actually prevent a user from printing at a time when hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of well-printed pages could actually be printed. This practice has the effect of forcing consumers to disregard otherwise-usable toner and purchase replacement toner from these same manufacturers.

Relevant printer manufacturers may include Brother, HP, Lexmark, Samsung, Canon, Epson, and Ricoh.
