A recently filed complaint alleges that due to a design defect, the bass drum foot pedal breaks under normal use and renders part of the Rockband video game unplayable. At one point there was an extended limited warranty on all of the hardware used to play the Rockband video game in addition to the original 60 day warranty that came with the hardware. However, since October 1, 2008, that extended limited warranty has ended and owners of Rockband hardware are only protected by the original 60 day warranty.
