Finkelstein Thompson LLP has filed a class action lawsuit against Starbucks Corporation (“Starbucks”) on behalf of those individuals that have been impacted by Starbucks’ breach of sensitive employee information. In a letter dated November 19, 2008, Starbucks notified approximately 97,000 individuals that a laptop containing their information was stolen on October 29, 2008 (hereinafter the “Breach”), and that their personal information was compromised in the theft of the laptop. The stolen information included names, addresses and social security numbers. Finkelstein Thompson LLP filed suit on behalf of the affected individuals in the Western District of Washington on March 11, 2009.
